This is my favorite campground to go to Got lots of fish! Take this from a famous Youtuber. i rate 5 stars... this is the best

I camped here several years ago with a now Late friend and loved it I'll be up by myself in 2015. I love this camp been to others but none compare it's always beautiful,peaceful and quite! P.S. Caught lots of fish too!

Many thanks to John Conningham for the shuttle ride to Clemson Island last Thrusday, secure parking for the weekend, and restocking us with Penrod Special Tubes and Jig Heads. He set up our 8th annual Susquehanna River fishing camp (3 Adults+4 boys) on one of the Island Campsites just above Haldamen Island and caught well over 250 Bass with many over 2 pounds and some over 3.

It was some of the best Susquehanna River SM fishing I've had in the past 10 years. Only downside was that the evening catfishing was off, only caught two small ones. Thanks again, we'll be back next year.

I HAVE FISHED THERE FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW,,AND MUST SAY ITS THE BEST SMALLMOUTH FISHERY I HAVE ENCOUNTERED..DECIDED TO TAKE MY WIFE,SON AND LAB UP TO CAMP LAST AUG. AND WE HAD THE BEST TIME.JUST AS EVERYONE SAYS,,VERY FRIENDLY FOKE UP THERE AND LOTS OF FUN,,LOTS OF FUN...THANKS FOR ALL JOHNIE

Coming up this weekend hope the numbers are up. my brother and I are bring his son up for the first riverfront camp hope he will enjoy and keep the tradition going

I am back at Johnny's and lovin' every minute of it. You won't find a more congenial guy than Johnny and the hospitality is second to none. Plus,30-50 bass a day ain't shabby.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Lee (Pappy). Have many great memories with my fishing buddy Ed Hearn. Will miss his sly humor. My condolences to the family.

can you rent out this whole campground for the weekend?

I have stayed at your campground twice and loved every minute of it! This is what camping is about, not a bunch of concrete and swimming pool crap.

John, been a good quiet season. No bitchin' and complaining. Fishin ain't been too bad. The boy's are coming for Labor Day weekend. Good time as always.

Thanks again, John and Co. for an awesome trip. Smallies were fighting hard and one of our group brought in a 5lb. walleye!!! See you in the fall!!!

If you don't appreciate the site go somewhere else!!! Leave the smallies for us!! John always has great bait and the supplies you need to have a successful trip. It is by far one of the most hassle free campgrounds you will find!!! We have camped in the Spring and the Fall for many years and couldn't be happier. Keep up the good work!!!!

Thanks for the great night's sleep on my AT hike from Pen Mar to Peter's Mountain. I made camp here 7/9/08 before heading across the river and up Peter's Mountain. Nice level tent pitch with real facilities and I had my dinner by the river under a pavilion. If you don't want to reach The Clark's Ferry Shelter, definitely camp here!

I caught a 17" 3 and 1/2 pound smallie, lots of smallmouth, and even some walleye from your camp. I'll be back again on memorial day for the 1st of many fishing and drinking trips! See ya'all then!
