RIVERFRONT CAMPGROUND
We are a full service campgound offering rustic camping under a tree or full hookup service on the river. Most of our sites are on or near the river. We have sites that will accomodate the size of your party from 1 tent to 4 or 5 units. We have group sites available for larger groups, scouts, trail hikers or fisherman.
A typical trip would start at our BAIT SHOP. After parking your car, filling out the rental form, and ordering any bait you may need, your gear is packed in one of our vans for the trip upstream. On the way to the access, any special tips or cautions are shown along the route. At the access, after your boat is unloaded, a checklist of on-boat equipment is made: PFDs, paddles, anchor, etc.During normal water conditions, the depth is usually under 3ft. and there will be small riffles, islands, grass patches and rock ledges -- most with pools below that hold nice fish. The only time restriction you are under is the fact that all our rental boats must be off the water "before sunset". This is a rule of the Pa state fishing commission. We can usually put you on the water at an access that will give you the amount of fishing time you wish, based on the amount of mileage covered. At the end of your trip, you come to shore, put out the anchor, bring your car over from the parking lot, load up, and you're on your way home -- or to a campsite.
Bait Shop
Due to our location in the flood-prone area and lack of mobile store space, we do not carry a lot of odds and ends found in some tackle shops. We do try to carry the things needed to keep you on the water while you are with us.
Our bait shop carries a full-line of live bait in season along with a supply of artificial bait. Anyone needing a PENNSYLVANIA FISHING LICENSE will find we carry all the ones offered by the PA Fish & Boat Commission. We also sell candy, cold soda, ice, cigarettes and other items for your enjoyment.
Shuttle Service
Due to the type of water we have, drift fishing is the easiest way to enjoy the water without busting your equipment. We can shuttle either your boats or our own. The price is according to the mileage driven and number of boats and people hauled. WE ALSO SHUTTLE TRAIL HIKERS,ECT.
